Mikhail Oseevsky, President of Rostelecom, spoke about the creation by the company of a universal domestic control panel for drones. Moreover, interestingly, it will run under the domestic Aurora OS.
Today, a number of manufacturers produce smartphones and tablets using this operating environment, and we, naturally, seeing the boom in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles in a wide variety of applications, paid attention to this and considered it possible to start work on creating a universal control panel for various types of unmanned vehicles using secure smartphones or tablets running the Aurora operating system.
The head of Rostelecom outlined the features of the control panel. According to him, this will be a whole complex of technical means based on a secure smartphone or tablet running Aurora.
We are currently in the prototype stage of such a universal control panel, actively interacting with leading manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles.
When controlling drones, the control panel will allow the use of various modern technologies using AI. Thus, intelligent switching between frequencies, scanning of the frequencies themselves, computer recognition of objects in real time, and calculation of trajectories can be implemented. Tasks for the distant future include the introduction of two-way communication, as well as the implementation of the concept of swarm control of UAVs.
And the next track, which a number of experts are also talking about today, is the creation of communication centers for managing the interactions of the so-called mosquito drone fleet, consisting of coordinated groups of unmanned vehicles.
As a reminder, it was previously announced that by the end of 2023, new smartphones, laptops and tablets based on the Aurora OS will appear in Russia.
