VK to open its first office in Belarus

The next office in the CIS after the office opened in Kazakhstan in 2020

According to Kommersant, VK Group plans to open its first office in Belarus, in Minsk. This is expected to happen before the end of the year.

Sources told the publication that at the end of June, the Belarusian Ambassador to Russia, Dmitry Krutoy, visited the VK Moscow office, where he spoke with Maxim Tadevosyan, Vice President for the Development of New Business Areas of the company.

VK is progressively expanding its presence in the CIS market. Thus, in 2020, the company opened a representative office in Kazakhstan, and in April 2023, VK Music launched local sections in Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. Experts interviewed by Kommersant believe that in Belarus, VK will be able to attract game developers to its projects, as well as new advertisers.

A few days ago, VK announced a change of jurisdiction: VK Company Limited will re-register the legal entity from the British Virgin Islands to Russia.
