The airline "Aeroflot" announced that its subsidiary "Aeroflot Technics" has carried out a unique repair operation for Russia: for the first time, the landing gear of a large passenger airliner Boeing 777 was replaced.
The maintenance and repair provider "Aeroflot Technics" successfully completed the replacement of the landing gear on the Boeing 777 aircraft. The procedure was carried out for the first time on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The replacement was carried out at the "Aeroflot Technics" base in "Sheremetyevo". The company explained that the replacement of the landing gear is a planned work and is carried out on Boeing 777 aircraft every 10 years or every 20 thousand flight cycles, whichever comes first.
The replacement of the landing gear took two weeks: not only the nose, but also the side ones were replaced. The control tests confirmed the normal operation of the new landing gear, the plane has already started regular flights.
And in this spring, "Aeroflot Technics" has successfully replaced the landing gear on an Airbus A330. These works also took place in "Sheremetyevo".
