Rostec published an interesting video on its Telegram channel – a slow-motion shot from a T-90 tank gun. In the footage, you can see how the projectile flies out and what kind of mini-explosion accompanies it.
As a reminder, the T-90 tank was adopted into service in 1992, after which it was modernized many times. Currently, in addition to a 125 mm gun-launcher, the tank is armed with NSVT 12.7 mm and PKT 7.62 mm machine guns, as well as 12 smoke grenade launchers.
It is powered by a V-92S2 engine with a capacity of 1000 hp. The gearbox is planetary with hydraulic control, and the transmission provides 7 forward gears and one reverse gear.
The T-90 chassis became the basis for many combat vehicles, such as the Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled gun, the TOS-1A Solntsepek, the BMPT Terminator, and others.
