Russia is creating a helicopter-type reconnaissance drone that will be able to recharge autonomously. The device will be presented in August at the "Army-2023" forum, but the creators have already revealed details about it.
The UAV's take-off weight will be 30 kg, and the payload weight will be 7 kg. It is assumed that the device will be equipped with optoelectronic systems, a thermal imager, a radiation detector and other equipment that allows reconnaissance to be carried out.
The drone will be able to stay in the air for up to 1.5 hours, but it will be charged autonomously. It looks like this: the device is given an area to be monitored and a site with a charging station is marked. The UAV independently takes off to conduct reconnaissance, and when the battery charge drops to a minimum, it flies to the "base" to charge the battery.
