Russian military will have a drone capable of autonomous recharging

It will be presented at the 'Army-2023' forum

In Russia, they are creating an unmanned reconnaissance helicopter-type device, which will be able to charge autonomously. The device will be presented in August at the “Army-2023” forum, but the creators have already shared details about it.

The takeoff weight of the UAV will be 30 kg, the weight of the useful load - 7 kg. It is assumed that optical-electronic systems, a thermal imager, a radiation detector and other equipment allowing reconnaissance will be installed on the apparatus.

The drone will be able to stay in the air for up to 1.5 hours, but at the same time it will be charged autonomously. It looks like this: the device is given an area to monitor, and a site with a charging station is marked. The UAV autonomously takes off for reconnaissance, and when the battery charge decreases to a minimum, it flies to the “base” for battery recharging.
