Russian enthusiasts are developing an application that will help restore speech after a stroke, head injuries or neuroinfections.
The RecoveryTap project solves a socially significant problem and can help people who have suffered a stroke and other traumas to restore their speech and socialize, regardless of their financial situation.
The developers reported that the application will be easy to use even for people with visual impairments. The software will allow to undergo personalized exercises for rehabilitation, in combination with sessions with a speech therapist, this will accelerate the recovery of speech functions. The creators, together with specialists, have developed exercises that are divided by complexity and functions (for example, for recovery after aphasia or for diction training).
The application release is scheduled for the end of autumn. Subsequently, the functionality will be improved: for example, doctors will be able to add their own exercises and recommendations for a specific patient to the application.
