We recently wrote about the start of sales in Russia of the Haval M6 mid-size crossover, and now there is interesting news that the assembly of this car may be organized in Russia at the Haval plant in Tula. Andrey Akifiev, Executive Director of Haval Motor Rus, spoke about this in an interview with Kommersant.
If we are talking about new localization, we are considering localization, including Haval M6, and this will be a new model.
Usually, the production of a car in the country allows you to reduce its cost, so theoretically, the “Russian” Haval M6 may become cheaper. To the question of maintaining the price at the level of 2 million rubles, the top manager said this:
«So far we are on schedule. I hope it will succeed, because the task of this model is to give comfort and the size of a cool car for affordable money».
Recall that the Haval M6 is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 143 hp, which works in conjunction with a manual transmission or a “robot”. The price, respectively, is 1.95 or 2.1 million rubles.
