BelAZ began testing a huge 220-ton quarry dump truck with a Russian locomotive engine

The truck will be tested in a coal mine

The manufacturer of large quarry dump trucks BelAZ announced the beginning of tests of one of its largest models - the 220-tonne BelAZ-75304. Its peculiarity is the use of a 2400 hp diesel engine produced by the Kolomensky plant. Such an engine is equipped with a locomotive.

The BelAZ-75304 will be tested for a year in the open pit coal mine at the Krasnobrodsky deposit. BelAZ itself notes that the Russian engine does not lag behind imported counterparts in its technical characteristics, it is also adapted to the most extreme operating conditions.

The operating weight of the BelAZ-7530 is 156.1 tons, the volume of the body is from 80 to 117 cubic meters.
