BelAZ, a manufacturer of large mining dump trucks, has announced the start of testing one of its largest models – the 220-ton BelAZ-75304. Its peculiarity is the use of a 2400 hp diesel engine manufactured by the Kolomna Plant. This engine is used to equip diesel locomotives.
BelAZ-75304 will be tested for a year at an open-pit coal mine at the Krasnobrodskoye field. BelAZ itself notes that the Russian engine is not inferior to foreign analogues in terms of its technical characteristics, and it is also adapted to the most extreme operating conditions.
The operating weight of BelAZ-7530 is 156.1 tons, the body volume is from 80 to 117 cubic meters.
