Stories appear in Telegram. It works in Russia as well, but not everyone can record stories

A new format has appeared in the Telegram messenger – Stories. Stories are no different in meaning from those that have long been implemented in Instagram* and WhatsApp (there they are called "Statuses").

To record Stories, you need to update the messenger (both the PC version and the Android and iOS versions). After that, a Stories creation button will appear next to the "Write message" icon. All messenger users can view stories, but only those with a Premium subscription can record them (at least for the first time).

As a reminder, Pavel Durov announced the appearance of the Stories format in Telegram at the end of June. Users themselves can determine who will have access to viewing stories: in the messenger settings, you can select all messenger users, only your contacts, selected contacts, or a list of close friends. You can also specify the expiration date of the story — 6, 12, 24, 48 hours. And you can also use photo and video editing tools.
