The North Caucasus Federal University announced a new development – a cyberattack-resistant communication protocol for the "Smart City" system.
The advantages of the development include the resistance of the sensor network to attacks of various types, including unauthorized interception, falsification of messages, errors, failures in connecting nodes and the network, and loss of information in the event of attacks or accidents.
Our scientists have developed intelligent systems that ensure data security and the speed of processing routes. The introduction of this development into practice will allow for the rational management of the urban economy and improve the quality of life of people.
The new protocol is based on a modification of the MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) network routing. In the new protocol, when encrypting information, the key is divided between all devices, so in case of unauthorized access, attackers will not gain access to all system information.
