The General Director of the Ural car factory, Pavel Yakovlev, announced that the enterprise plans to start mass production of cars for Arctic conditions at the end of 2025.

The task is to start mass production of the Arktika family of vehicles by the end of 2025. The family includes three vehicles: a vehicle with a separate cabin and a separate van body, a monocoque [bus], which is presented here, a tractor and a semi-trailer monocoque. This lineup must be fully developed and certified by the beginning of 2026. The monocoque should complete the tests and certification by the end of next year.

He added that the factory will be able to produce up to 350 Arctic vehicles a year, various departments have shown interest in the vehicles, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

The Project Administrator of 'Arctic Bus', Victor Yakovlev, spoke about the features of this machine. For instance, the vehicle, which is more than 4 meters high, has almost 2-meter wheels with low-pressure tires, double glazing, heated mirrors, USB chargers in the salon, wireless chargers (!), and duplicate heating and air conditioning systems.
