The Future Technologies Forum has kicked off in Moscow today, it will last until July 14. This year's forum is held under the motto 'Ahead of Time' and is dedicated to quantum technologies. The participants were welcomed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He noted that the Forum would become traditional and is intended to serve as an open platform for dialogue among representatives of government, business, scientists, to develop joint steps in those research and technological areas that will determine global development, the future of mankind in the near perspective. "Our task, Russia's top priority - is to use the enormous potential of such innovative solutions for economic growth and improvement of people's life quality", Vladimir Putin emphasized.

"Today - in the face of unprecedented external challenges, and most importantly - a large-scale, qualitative renewal of industry, agriculture, all sectors of the Russian economy, government management and the social sphere - it is fundamentally important for the advanced developments of our engineers, researchers to be implemented as quickly as possible. This is the key to strengthening our technological sovereignty, and therefore national progress, growth of our citizens' well-being. I expect the Future Technologies Forum to give an additional powerful impulse to this work", he added.

The 2023 Forum is dedicated to quantum technologies, which have a wide range of applications. This includes next-generation computers, development and creation of unique medicines and materials, optimization of power grids and logistics, secure data transmission channels and so on.

The Forum will feature new Russian quantum developments - presented by the "Russian Railways", "Rosatom", "Gazprombank", the Government of Moscow and "Sberbank". The program of the Forum's open days on July 13-14 includes more than 20 business events, including panel sessions and business dialogues. The Forum is expected to be attended by more than 1500 Russian and foreign guests.
