The head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, at a meeting with Vladimir Putin, outlined the timeframe for the deployment of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) in its final configuration.
«From 2024, we need to begin full-scale work on forming the Russian Orbital Station, complete the main work by 2030, and fully form the station by 2032», – said Borisov. He added that the efficiency of the ROS will be significantly higher than the Russian segment of the ISS.
Yuri Borisov also lamented the cost of the ROS creation process. «We are constantly in the zone of criticism from our colleagues in the financial and economic bloc», – said the head of Roscosmos. As a reminder, in October 2022, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, announced that the preliminary cost of creating the prospective ROS is already known, but he did not name the amount.
