SKB Turbina, part of the High-Precision Systems holding of Rostec, has introduced a line of turbochargers designed to replace products from the Swedish-Swiss holding company ABB.
«At this exhibition [International Maritime Defence Show 2023] we are presenting a complete model range of turbochargers for Russian diesel engines with a capacity of 1,000 to 4,000 hp. They will completely replace the turbochargers of the Swedish-Swiss holding company ABB. Today we have an order for TKR-201 for two years ahead - this model has already passed all tests and is ready for serial deliveries. In August, we will test the next, more powerful model of the turbocharger, and by the end of the year we expect to launch mass production. Thus, next year, Russian enterprises producing diesel engines will not need to use foreign turbochargers,» – said Eduard Bazhenov, General Director of SKB Turbina.
In addition to the TKR-201, the company showcased the TKR-D1 and TK-200 turbochargers. According to Bazhenov, they surpass foreign counterparts in several parameters. The presented turbochargers are intended for use in diesel installations for land, rail, and watercraft.
