SKB "Turbine", part of the "High-precision complexes" holding of "Rostec", presented a line of turbochargers intended to replace the products of the Swedish-Swiss holding ABB.
"At this exhibition [International Naval Salon 2023] we present a complete range of turbochargers for Russian diesel engines with a power of 1,000 to 4,000 hp. They will fully replace the turbochargers of the Swedish-Swiss holding ABB. We currently have an order for the TKR-201 two years in advance - this model has undergone all tests and is ready for serial delivery. In August, we will test the next, more powerful model of the turbocharger, hoping to start mass production by the end of the year. Thus, next year Russian diesel engine manufacturers will not need to use foreign turbochargers", - said the general director of SKB "Turbine" Eduard Bazhenov.
In addition to the TKR-201, the company also showcased the turbochargers TKR-D1 and TK-200. According to Bazhenov, they outperform foreign counterparts in several parameters. The presented turbochargers are intended for use in diesel installations of ground, railroad, and water equipment.
