The Russian company Meteor Lift has announced the organization of localized production of critical components for elevators in the country. The Chinese XIZI Elevator Company will assist them in this endeavor.
«Our partnership is expanding; under the new agreement, the Chinese company will participate in the localization of critical elevator components, which will help increase the technological stability of the elevator industry in Russia», - said Igor Mayorov, CEO of Meteor Lift.
Since the beginning of 2023, Meteor Lift has become the exclusive distributor in the Russian Federation of elevators, escalators, travelators, and individual components of Xizi Elevator Company. Previously, this company was called "OTIS Lift" and produced the world-famous Otis elevators. But in 2022, the American Otis decided to leave Russia, and it sold its Russian business to the S8 Capital holding.
