The Russian company Meteor Lift announced the organization of localized production of critically important components for elevators in the country. The Chinese XIZI Elevator Company will help it in this.
«Our partnership is expanding, within the framework of the new agreement the Chinese company will participate in the localization of critically important elevator components, which will help increase the technological resilience of the elevator industry in Russia», - said the General Director of Meteor Lift Igor Majorov.
Since the beginning of 2023, Meteor Lift has become an exclusive distributor in Russia of elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and certain components from Xizi Elevator Company. Earlier this company was called "OTIS Lift" and produced the world-famous Otis elevators. But in 2022, the American Otis decided to leave Russia, and it sold its Russian business to the S8 Capital holding.
