Rostec announced that the BAS-200 transport drone created within the state corporation may be sent to work for its first customer in Yakutia. Previously, the UAV was tested in the Far North, and it proved its readiness to work in such difficult temperature conditions.

«In Yakutia, there are a number of large-scale tasks for unmanned aviation, for the implementation of which the BAS-200 seems to us to be the optimal solution… The government of the republic is ready to solve organizational and regulatory issues of the leading operation of drones, to license this type of aviation activity of regional operators. We are very much looking forward to the introduction of BAS-200 complexes into the transport infrastructure of Yakutia», – said Andrey Fedotov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Yakutia.

The BAS-200 looks like a mini-helicopter without a cabin. It is equipped with a rotary-piston engine and can carry up to 50 kg of payload. The maximum flight range is up to 400 km, the duration is up to 4 hours.
