"Rostelecom" signed a contract for the supply of 800 thousand routers based on Russian chips

The contract amount is estimated at 2.5 billion rubles

The President of Rostelecom, Mikhail Oseevsky, announced the signing of a forward contract worth 2.5 billion rubles with the Elektra subsidiary for the supply of 800 thousand routers.

Rostelecom clarified that within the framework of the contract, home routers in several modifications will be produced, all of which will use Russian chips manufactured by the Micron plant near Moscow. Deliveries are expected to begin in the 3rd-4th quarter of this year.

«There is also a contract for the supply of set-top boxes for 200 thousand pieces, for approximately 0.5 billion rubles. We already have the production of video cameras and switches, which are also used for servicing the EDG [Unified Voting Day], we expect to expand the range of this equipment and increase the volume of supplies,» Rostelecom said.
