The CEO of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, announced that the company is ready to build a high-speed railway (HSR). Currently, there are no such roads in Russia, and the first section will be the segment between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The first train for the HSR will appear in 2027, although it was previously planned to appear in 2026.

"We are currently building a high-speed train. And by the president's order, we plan to have a next-generation high-speed train in 2027", - Oleg Belozerov said.

Russian Railways are developing a high-speed train in cooperation with the company "Sinara - Transport Machines". It is assumed that it will be able to reach a speed of up to 400 km/h, the train will cover the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. At present, there is only a design of the future train and a detailed plan of the further stages of its creation.
