Guided munition "Krasnopol" for drones has passed experimental operation

In tests, it showed positive results

The holding of "High-Precision Systems" (part of "Rostec") announced the successful completion of experimental operation of the guided artillery munition "Krasnopol" for use with drones. It is noted that it showed positive results in the tests.

The "Krasnopol" includes not only a fragmentary high-explosive guided projectile, but also a laser target pointer-rangefinder, with which guidance to the target is carried out. The flight range of the munition reaches 20 km, the weight of the warhead is 8 kg. The "Krasnopol" target indicator can capture up to three targets at once. In the latest modification ("Krasnopol-M2") the shell has a caliber of 155 mm and a greater flight range (26 km). The accuracy of hitting small targets is also increased.
