The premiere of the largest installation working on LMD technology in Russia took place at the "Metalloobrabotka-2023" exhibition. It was developed by the integrator "Rusatom - Additive Technologies" together with the Institute of Laser and Welding Technologies of SPbGMTU.

The device operates on the technology of Direct Metal Deposition (LMD/DMD). It is designed to manufacture products with a maximum diameter of 2200 mm and a height of 1000 mm. The installation is equipped with two 6-axis industrial robots and a positioner with a lifting capacity up to 8000 kg.

With this DMD printer, it is possible to manufacture large-sized products using powder materials of nickel alloys, stainless and heat-resistant steels. The installation is relevant for use in all key industries - nuclear, aviation, shipbuilding, space.
