According to Lada.online, citing the Avtograd News public page, AvtoVAZ has likely assembled the first Lada Vesta NG with a 6-speed gearbox.
«Three white Vesta NG cars in the "universal" body style rolled off the VAZ assembly line. The windshield of two of them says "Vesta Sport Project", there are holes in the sills for plastic lining, the accompanying card indicates engine 21179», Avtograd News wrote and added that the windshield of the third car with a 1.8-liter engine had the note "Vesta 6 MКП Project".
One of the sources close to the plant said that these three cars were assembled as part of new Lada Vesta NG projects, which include a 6-speed manual transmission.
Back in 2020, there were rumors that Vesta would receive a 6-speed manual transmission. However, it was then said that it would work in tandem with a 1.3-liter turbocharged Renault engine. In April 2021, new rumors appeared - they already attributed Vesta 6-speed manual transmission in tandem with a modified 1.8-liter engine. Now, after Renault's departure from the country, the 1.8-liter engine is the only option for the 6-speed manual transmission, and this is the most obvious combination of units for the flagship of AvtoVAZ. But it is unlikely that we should expect the appearance of a 6-speed manual transmission in Vesta in the near future - this year.
