The RCI News public page has published interesting details about the Lada Vesta NG. It is reported that the body of the station wagon version (NG) is fully galvanized, while the sedan version is galvanized everywhere except the roof.
According to the public page, the external body panels of the Vesta NG are made of high-quality double-sided hot-dip galvanized auto sheet. The power structure uses modern steel grades that provide the necessary body stiffness in bending and torsion, and there are also additional elements made of high-strength steel. Also, the underbody and wheel arches of the car are coated with an anti-corrosion compound at the factory, and the hidden cavities of the body are protected with a protective wax-oil compound. Anti-gravel treatment of the body sills is also used.
It turns out that Russia will finally have its first domestic car that will not rust?
