Public RCI News published interesting details about Lada Vesta NG. It is reported that the body of the wagon version (NG) is fully galvanized, and the sedan is galvanized everywhere except for the roof.
According to the public, the Vesta NG's external body panels are made from high-quality double-sided hot-dip galvanized auto sheet. Modern steel grades are used in the power structure, providing the necessary body rigidity to bending and twisting, and there are also additional elements made of high-strength steel. The underside of the car and wheel arches at the factory are covered with an anti-corrosion compound, hidden body cavities with a protective wax-oil solution. Also, anti-gravel treatment of body thresholds is applied.
So, will Russia finally have its first domestic car that won't rust?
