Evgeny Zavyalov, Development Director of the Chinese car brand SWM, said that in 2024-2025 it is planned to expand the SWM model range in Russia. But specific models will be selected based on trends in the Russian car market.
The first SWM cars will go on sale in Russia on May 31 - these will be mid-size crossovers SWM G01 and SWM G01F, equipped with 1.5-liter engines and robotic gearboxes. By the end of the summer, a larger crossover SWM G05 Pro will go on sale.
The production of all three models is already underway at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The brand plans to sell 2,000 cars per month in Russia. At the same time, according to Evgeny Zavyalov, there are no restrictions on the number of cars produced: if there is demand, more cars will be delivered to dealers.
As a reminder, the exclusive distributor of the SWM brand in Russia is Obukhov Group. The company has already signed more than 40 dealer agreements in all major cities of Russia, and by the end of 2023, the SWM dealer network will expand to 50 centers.
