TASS shared a study conducted as part of a special project with the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center. The project examined the attitude of Russians towards smart home devices. As it turned out, the majority of respondents do not use smart home devices.
«72% of Russians do not use smart home devices, the figure is highest among active TV viewers – 95%. Representatives of the older generation 60+ years (87% do not use), Russians with secondary education and below (85-86%), as well as residents of villages (82%) are also indifferent to modern technologies,» – the researchers say. A total of 1.6 thousand Russians took part in the survey.
Among those who still use smart solutions, the robot vacuum cleaner is the most popular, chosen by 58% of smart device users. Next come the smart speaker (44%), Smart TV (12%), smart lighting and smart socket 10%. It is noteworthy that two-thirds of robot vacuum cleaner users are women. Smart speakers are also used by more women than men.
