Sergey Chemezov, head of Rostec, told Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin that the SSJ New aircraft will have practically no imported components left.
"Speaking of the SSJ New, yes, we are completing the testing of the PD-8 engine. The aircraft is already with our engine, completely with our avionics, with our units and, most importantly, with our - completely - fuselage. There is practically nothing imported left there. We are already completing certification. And we will start mass production in 2024. We will produce 20 SSJ New aircraft every year," Chemezov said.
The head of Rostec noted that the certification of another domestic aircraft, the MC-21, should be completed in 2024. And then they plan to release the first six production aircraft.
