Bloomberg, citing its sources, reported that the US Department of Justice is investigating the Binance cryptocurrency exchange – it is suspected of helping Russians evade US sanctions. It is noted that the investigation, which was not publicly discussed, is being conducted by the National Security Division of the Department of Justice.
Binance has also previously been accused of helping Iran evade US sanctions. Now Bloomberg writes that the crypto exchange is cooperating with the Department of Justice to resolve these claims. Binance itself claims that it "complies with all American and international financial restrictions".
As a reminder, Binance canceled the monetary limits for Russians in the amount of 10 thousand euros, introduced against the background of sanctions.
