The airline "Russia" officially announced that it has begun to use Sukhoi Superjet 100 tires of Russian production - from the company "YASHZ Avia" on its planes.
"Airline "Russia" - the largest operator of Superjet 100 - has begun operating Russian tires on aircraft of this type. The supplier of sets is the largest Russian developer and manufacturer of tires for aircraft, helicopters and ground equipment "YASHZ Avia". Previously, the airline "Russia" operated foreign aircraft tires[Michelin], the production and import of which was discontinued in our country", said a representative of the airline.
It is noted that the first batch of 73 tires arrived at the warehouse, two SSJ-100s have been equipped with domestic tires, and they are already flying.
"Flight safety is a top priority for "Russia", so using quality components is a particularly responsible task. Aircraft tires are designed to provide maximum reliability on the run, takeoff, run and landing, as well as smooth movement during taxiing and towing. The aircraft should behave steadily and cause no objections from the crew", said the flight director of "Russia" Georgiy Barinov.
