A total of 8 thousand NFTs were issued with images of the dog named Spotty - the symbol of the social network, which had previously appeared on avatars and stickers. Now it is about NFT.
Users were offered one NFT for 380 rubles or three for 850 rubles. All funds received from the sale of tokens will go to the restoration of an architectural monument - the Bak's rental house in Saint Petersburg.
As the first token issuance was successful, "VKontakte" is already preparing the next ones. Also, in the near future, the company will launch its own NFT marketplace.
