Maxim Sokolov, president of AvtoVAZ, announced on air of RBC that Russian enterprise will start manufacturing Chinese cars even prior to receiving their certification back home.

"And the certification is a very lengthy process, which usually takes about nine months. It's like childbirth. That's why our next steps, as I already announced, will be associated with the launch of the assembly line in St. Petersburg at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum", - he said.

Certification in China implies that the car is ready for mass production. So, it turns out that the production of Chinese models under the Lada brand in Russia will begin sooner than in China itself.
