Due to western sanctions, the 'Sberbank Online' app became unavailable in the App Store in April last year. A year passed, and now it can be downloaded and installed on iPhone through the official marketplace again, but the app is now called differently — SBOL.

"We confirm that the use of SBOL is completely safe, customer data is securely protected", Sberbank reported and added that the installation of SBOL is recommended as new features have been added. Furthermore, after installing SBOL, previous versions of Sberbank's mobile banking can be removed.
