The first two launches of the heavy launch vehicle "Angara" took place on December 23, 2014 and December 14, 2020 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, and the third will take place at the end of this year from the "Vostochny" cosmodrome. This was announced by the Governor of the Amur Region, Vasily Orlov.
«There [at the cosmodrome] the construction of the second launch pad for the Angara rocket is being completed today. The construction is on schedule, despite all the difficulties associated with sanctions and COVID first of all. "Angara" should be imported in the near future, it will already be at the cosmodrome in September, followed by the launch. According to the plan, the launch should take place at the end of 2023,» the governor said.
The launch complex for Angara launch vehicles is included in the second stage of construction of Vostochny, which was launched in the summer of 2019. Serial production of Angara is scheduled to begin in Russia in 2024.
