Omoda, a brand owned by Chery, has announced the price of the mid-size sedan Omoda S5. There are three trim levels: Life, Tech, and Ultra, with prices of 2.16, 2.27, and 2.47 million rubles, respectively. However, by taking advantage of trade-in and financial programs, the price can be reduced by 140-210 thousand rubles.
Omoda S5 is in the niche previously occupied by Toyota Corolla and Kia Cerato before they were officially sold in Russia. The dimensions of the Chinese sedan are 4644 x 1814 x 1493 mm, with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. The base version of the Omoda S5 has a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 113 hp and a CVT, while the top version also has a 1.5-liter engine, but turbocharged with 147 hp. It also works in conjunction with a CVT.
Even in the base configuration, the Omoda S5 has LED headlights, a panoramic roof, a 360-degree view system, 6 airbags, cruise control (but a regular air conditioner, albeit with electronic control), heated front seats, and a 10.25-inch screen on the front panel as part of the media system.
