Today in Russia, sales of new Yandex devices for smart homes have started – the flagship Yandex Station Max speaker for 29,990 rubles, the Yandex Hub for 4,990 rubles, and sensors priced at 1,990 rubles apiece. From today, the new products can be purchased from retailers and on Yandex Market, and by the end of the month they will be available for sale in Belarus and Kazakhstan.
A special feature of the new products is the support for the Zigbee protocol, which does not require the internet. Thanks to this, the devices work more stably and turn on faster. The new devices are also ready to support the unified Matter standard, which allows devices from different brands to be combined into a single seamless network in a smart home system. Matter will be implemented in the new products with a firmware update.
There are five sensors with Zigbee support in the range: a window and door opening sensor, a motion and light sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor, a leak sensor, and a wireless button.
