The head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, speaking at the International Film Festival of Films and Programs about Space (ICFF) "Tsiolkovsky", hinted at a strong increase in the resolution of future Russian Earth remote sensing satellites.
«From space, you can see the stars on the epaulettes», – said Borisov, specifying that at the moment the resolution of the best optical systems of observation satellites is 0.3 m.
Recall that Russia will launch new observation and Earth remote sensing satellites as part of the "Sphere" program. The Sphere program will include five satellite constellations providing telephony and data transmission services, and five more for observation. The first Skif-D ("demonstrator") device under the program was launched in 2022.
