Yandex's team has announced a prototype of its own neural network for creating images based on users' text queries, launching public beta testing. The application "Masterpiece" is available on Android and iOS mobile devices.

You can download the beta version "Masterpiece" 0.1.4 for free in the Google Play and App Store apps. Descriptions can be made in Russian and English.

After installing the application, users can view images and like them. To create images based on their own queries, it is necessary to leave a request and wait for its approval. In the future this option will be available to all registered users.

The neural network creates images using the cascade diffusion method: first it generates images that match the request, and then gradually increases their resolution and enriches them with details.

For beta testing, the first version of the generative model was trained on 240 million examples of images with text descriptions. Training continues on a dataset of 500 million examples, and in future updates the quality of images will gradually improve.
