Russian fifth-generation fighters will be able to work in conjunction with Su-24M and Su-30MKA

Just two Russian fifth-generation Su-57E fighters, which entered service with the Algerian Air Force, significantly enhanced their offensive capabilities. This was written by the Western publication The Military Watch Magazine.

Currently, the Algerian Air Force is based on more than 70 Su-30MKA fighters (an export version of the Su-30, developed for Algeria). The improved avionics, advanced weapons and advanced electronic intelligence capabilities of the Su-57 will increase the combat effectiveness of Algerian aircraft, including the Su-35 and Su-24M.

The author of the publication noted that even a small number of fifth-generation fighters can play an important role in supporting fourth-generation aircraft. He recalled that pilots of the Israeli Air Force work in a similar configuration, using F-35 fighters to expand the capabilities of F-16s.

The Su-57E is equipped with six separate radars, which allows tracking up to 60 targets. In addition, stealth and advanced electronic warfare capabilities give it an advantage.

According to the author of The Military Watch Magazine, the Su-57 will play an important role in protecting Algeria from Morocco. Even a small fleet of Russian fighters is capable of «multiplying the power» to suppress or completely destroy the air defense of a neighboring state.

According to unconfirmed information, the Moroccan Air Force purchased long-range HQ-9B air defense systems from China. Moreover, Rabat has placed an order for American-made MIM-104 Patriot air defense systems.

The Su-57 pilot can collect target data, as well as use stealth capabilities to deliver pinpoint strikes, "opening the door" to Moroccan airspace for other Algerian Air Force aircraft.

Earlier, UAC CEO Vadim Badekha confirmed that two fifth-generation Su-57E multirole fighters were delivered to a foreign customer. However, the corporation did not name a specific buyer. The Russian expert community says that we are talking about Algeria.
