The Russians have an impressive missile arsenal for delivering tactical and strategic strikes against targets in conventional and nuclear configurations. This was written by military expert Harrison Kass in an article for The National Interest.
Russia has one of the most extensive and diverse missile arsenals in the world. It has a wide range of options, from short-range tactical missiles to intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
Kass emphasized that ICBMs form the basis of Russia's strategic nuclear forces with a range of thousands of kilometers.
These include the RS-24 "Yars", RS-28 "Sarmat", "Topol-M". Even more impressive is the "Avangard" missile system.
Russia has submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) — R-29RMU/RMU2 and RSM-56 "Bulava", and cruise missiles of the "Caliber" series.
