The ceremony was attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The photos were published by KCNA.

The destroyer Choe Hyon with a displacement of 5,000 tons was built "in over 400 days." This is the largest warship built in North Korea.

In addition to the "copy" of the Pantsir-ME SAM system, a large artillery installation is installed in the bow of the ship, as well as two six-barreled small-caliber installations and torpedo tubes.

The Pantsir-ME SAM system was presented to the public in 2017 at the International Naval Salon in St. Petersburg. The complex can fire at four targets simultaneously. The first ship equipped with the Pantsir-ME was the small missile ship Odintsovo (project 22800), launched in 2018.
