Will Leave No Chance for American Deep Strike and Dark Eagle: S-350E Vityaz SAM System Will Cope with Any Ballistic Missiles Even in the Stratosphere

The system is capable of intercepting such munitions at a range of up to 35 km

The latest Russian anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) S-350E "Vityaz" is capable of forming a zonal anti-missile barrier of medium and long range over strategically important industrial zones and agglomerations within the range of a wide range of aerospace attack weapons. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

According to him, the 9M96E2 interceptor missiles included in the system's ammunition are equipped with gas-dynamic "belts" of transverse control engines (DPC).

The system provides overloads of up to 65 units, which allows 9M96E2 to intercept targets maneuvering with overloads of up to 30 units at altitudes up to 7 - 10 km, at altitudes of 30 - 35 km these indicators are reduced to 20 and 10 units, respectively, due to the rarefaction of the upper layers of the stratosphere.

This is quite enough to counter promising American operational-tactical ballistic missiles Deep Strike (PrSM), one of the prototypes of which (PrSM Increment) was tested on February 12 at the White Sands test site in New Mexico. Interception of such targets can be carried out at a distance of up to 35 km and in a height range from 2 to 27 km.

The analyst noted that equipping 9M96E2 anti-aircraft missiles with active radar homing heads of the "Slanets" type provides the S-350E with the ability to intercept ballistic targets diving at angles of 90 degrees.

Also, active homing heads allow the "Vityaz" calculations to work on remote targets beyond the radio horizon based on target designation from long-range radar detection aircraft. The number of simultaneously intercepted ballistic targets reaches 12, aerodynamic (tactical aviation aircraft and cruise missiles) — 16.

The speed of the targets hit can reach 2000 m/s, which allows the "Vityaz" to intercept hypersonic gliding warheads Glide Body Block I (C-HGB) of the hyped American Dark Eagle complexes on terminal sections of trajectories when the speed is reduced to less than 7000 km/h.

The S-350 is also equipped with its own power supply and does not need external sources. The complex's assets can be placed at a great distance from each other, which reduces the risk of being hit by enemy missiles.
