Bulgarian Military author Boyko Nikolov recalled cases of Western equipment being hit by missiles fired from the anti-tank system. For example, Russian soldiers destroyed several British Challenger tanks, American M1A1SA Abrams, and German Leopard 2.

The missile for the Kornet ATGM is equipped with a tandem shaped-charge warhead. It hits tanks equipped with dynamic protection (DZ), with an estimated armor penetration of up to 1200 mm of rolled homogeneous armor behind the DZ.
