"Uralvagonzavod" showed footage ofthe assembly of the hull and turret of the main battle tank T-90M "Proryv". The video shows the processing of flanges for rollers, the processing of the turret ring of the welded turret, and welding work at the joints of armor plates.
An important detail is that in the case of the T-90M, the hulls are assembled completely from scratch, and not restored on the basis of products removed from storage. This is typical for the T-72B3M and T-80BVM, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
One of the advantages of the combat vehicle is the equivalent resistance of the frontal projection of the hull from kinetic projectiles of about 950-1000 mm, and up to 1350 mm from cumulative ones.
This is achieved both through the use of elements of 4S23 "Relikt" dynamic protection, and through the placement of a special armor gauge in the niches of the frontal armor plates of the turret, represented by a block of "reflective sheets".
