The Russian Space Agency has confirmed work on the ISS project until 2028 — there is an appropriate government order, and the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov has already informed American partners about this decision. However, NASA hopes for cooperation with Russia in the ISS project until 2030.

NASA chief Bill Nelson told Reuters that cooperation on the ISS “between astronauts and cosmonauts continues at the professional level”. “I expect it to continue until the end of the decade when we de-orbit the space station”, he added.

The head of NASA added that he hopes for the continuation of fruitful US and Russia cooperation in space despite the conflict in Ukraine.
