By early 2027, MTS will deliver the first ten aeromobile communication complexes to Russian regions. They are based on tethered hexacopters and are designed for rapid deployment of mobile communications in remote areas. Recipients will be branches in six regions - from the Far East to the central part of the country.

The hexacopter is held by a tether and hovers 100-200 meters above the ground. It provides radio coverage within a radius of 10-15 km, regardless of terrain complexity, for three days. Two specialists can deploy the complex in 30 minutes almost anywhere a four-wheel-drive vehicle can go. It was first shown at the CIPR forum in 2026.
MTS expects the complex to be useful for agricultural work, environmental monitoring, search and rescue operations, and disaster relief. It will also allow LTE and 5G to be deployed where there are no towers, and corporate networks to be organized at hard-to-reach production sites. Alexey Maslyankin, Director of Network Development at MTS, noted that the first ten kits will be sent to cities from which they can be quickly delivered to various locations.
