Specialists from Gazpromneft – SM have developed G-Profi SGE 40 MA engine oil for engines in gas piston units (GPU). Its production has been established at a plant in Omsk.

The product is designed for stationary power plants used to generate electricity and heat at enterprises, fuel and energy complex facilities, in the agricultural and communal sectors. A feature of G-Profi SGE 40 MA is its resistance to oxidation and its ability to work with fuel with a high sulfur content (natural and associated gas).

The new engine oil reduces deposit formation and protects engine parts from wear. In its development, specialists used their own synthetic base oils (hydrocarbon liquids with specific molecular properties) and additives (chemical components that improve the operational properties of lubricants).

Andrey Spirin, Head of Sales Development Department at Gazpromneft-SM, stated that enterprises in Russia are increasing local generation because they need a reliable energy source.

The development of Russian technologies will help import substitution in the energy sector, Spirin noted. In addition, this is important for developing solutions adapted to various operating conditions, he concluded.
