The Iskander-M missile system now attacks targets along a new trajectory, which makes American Patriot air defense systems unable to counter it. Military expert Yuri Knutov spoke about the new tactic.

We have reprogrammed the Iskanders, and they now attack not along a flat trajectory, but along a strictly vertical one.
Knutov clarified that changing the trajectory increases the accuracy of ballistic missiles and reduces the time to reach the target.
Military observer Gennady Alekhin also explained that Iskander-M crews also use them in conjunction with A-50U AWACS aircraft in counter-battery warfare. Such a duo helps effectively destroy missile launch positions.
Foreign sources stated that Russia builds two missiles for the Iskander-M with a range of 500 km every day. The annual stock was estimated at 700 units. This information is not officially disclosed.
