Lukoil has completed the first stage of an investment project for the development of the Komandirshor oil field, located in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (approximately 120 km from Naryan-Mar). This was reported by the producer's press service.

An oil treatment unit (OTU) "Komandirshor" with a capacity of over 800 thousand tons of oil per year has been built, and its commissioning has allowed the commencement of commercial operation of the fields.
Specialists use technologies patented in Russia in the associated petroleum gas (APG) treatment system, a mixture of hydrocarbons released during oil production. This refers to equipment for cleaning raw gas from moisture, impurities, and hydrogen sulfide. Then, APG is processed and used as fuel.
Lukoil began construction of the "Komandirshor" OTU in December 2023. The unit is designed for collecting, separating, and bringing crude oil to commercial standards.
The Komandirshor field (3 sections) is located within the Laisky swell of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province. Initial recoverable oil reserves (the volume of minerals that can be extracted using existing technologies and equipment) are estimated at 11 million tons.
