Sakhalin companies and organizations in the summer of 2026 began using AI-based functions 4.5 times more often compared to the same period last year. Demand for tools that help analyze work meetings grew particularly rapidly. These data are provided by the business communication platform "MTS Link".

Tools for working with meeting outcomes became especially popular: AI automatically transcribes conversations, creates summaries, and highlights key agreements.

Overall business activity on the islands also increased over the year, according to the report. In the summer of 2026, the number of online events increased by 26%. Online meetings increased by 27%, and webinars were held 11% more often.

Educational organizations and government bodies became the most active users of the platform. Industry also entered the top three most active sectors.

Among Russian platforms with AI functions, DION, IVA360, SaluteJazz, "Bitrix24", and "Yandex 360" are developing. Some of them also provide transcription of audio and video conferences, creation of summaries, and task lists.
