Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) handed over 11 new boats to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The delivery took place in August 2026. Seven RPK-640 boats of project 04430 and four PK-500 boats of modification 05120 were sent to the rescue units.

The boats will be used in various water areas, including for search and rescue operations, rapid response to incidents, and delivery of specialists along with necessary equipment.

Such equipment is especially needed in areas where rescuers have to work in difficult conditions. The maneuverability of the boats directly affects how quickly the unit can provide assistance, KMZ emphasized.

The vessels, 6.99 and 5 meters long respectively, are equipped with outboard motors, reach speeds of up to 65 km/h, and are designed to carry up to six people.
